Andrzej

Full name: Andrzej Matthew Stewart

Primary role in band: Guitar

E-mail address: ASFalcon13@excite.com

Date of birth: August 26, 1982

Musical past: My first band was "Horsepower" in the spring of '97...I couldn't play any instruments, so they made me the rent-a-cop. The band broke up after only a few days, and I went on to play drums in a band called "Sorehead" a month or two later (using my friend Eric "Beemer" Beeman's drum kit!). I eventually realized that I sucked at drums, and took guitar classes in school that fall. I was hooked instantly, and I got my Strat for Christmas that year. I got my first taste of recording the next summer, cutting a demo called "Spotlight" with Aaron Qualkinbush and Kris Jensen (I got stuck with vocals too...never again!). After spening a couple of years jamming with various friends and being part of a Metallica cover band, I finally joined David, James, and Kyle to help create 5FP.

Musical influences: Metallica has probably had more influence on me than any other band. My inclinations to palm-muting thrash patterns and power chord riffing came from listening to James Hetfield too much, and I picked up my favorite scales while studying Kirk Hammett. Tool taught me that I don't have to blast a constant barrage of chords to be heavy..."Sober" affected my playing in so many ways. Green Day taught me that it doesn't have to be complicated or technical in order to rock.
